Alejandra Caraballo tweeted on July 22, 2022: "Tucker Carlson thinks using the pronouns they/them is sexual in nature and people who do should be in prison. Who are the pronoun police again?" The tweet isn't archived, so I have no link. But you see the idea. If you request that others use certain pronouns for you to accurately reflect your gender, and if they say "you can't make that request, and no one can use those pronouns for you," it's clear who's the pronoun police.
No one should go to prison for accurately observing that various pronouns exist, that some people want them, and that some people use them, and that for many people they are not only the most authentic pronouns but, in other senses, they are the most correct pronouns.
