In the transition to mobile, we have less phone cord. And in losing the phone cord, we lose the manifestation of what it feels like to make multiple phone calls, over and over and over, taking the windiest route possible for the simplest request. The phone is now "in the air." It makes it seem as though our frustration is that much more imaginary.
