Allowing deadnaming is literally the top content moderation policy that Musk is allegedly proposing. If you can squeeze him via advertising boycotts, he might walk that back. If you buy Twitter Blue, you embolden him to enact it. This has severe impacts on people irl.

How'd it turn out? In April 2024 news, Musk will change the policy so "he'll be giving away blue checks to prominent users, but still offering the rest of us plebeians the option to buy one."
